The Great Smoky Mountains is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! We have over 11 million visitors each year and we are the number one most visited National Park in the U.S.

Hi, my name is Ken Falkner. I moved here two years ago with the hopes and dreams of eventually building a glamping camp ground, a place where families can come to enjoy nature and just have fun.

Ken

In March of this year while everyone was staying home due to covid, I decided to begin working on a website: http://glampinginthesmokymountains.com . It was a hit from day one and is getting about 10,000 hits per month with a big following of fans already! The site features all things Smoky Mountains, places to go and things to do.  I have been advertising on Facebook since March and now the site is getting a good bit of organic traffic as well. People love the site and are sharing it with others.

My two best friends, Cheryl Decker and her daughter Candace Shearer are moving here to be a part of this new adventure! Cheryl has lots of animals which will help with the petting zoo on the property and Candace is great with horses as is Cheryl. We plan on offering horse back riding so they both will be a great asset to the Great Smoky Mountain Glamping Park.  In addition, we will have traditional camping as well as tent Glamping. Plans are to have a garden in which everyone visiting can pick from so that kids and adult kids can get the feel of what it means to grow your own food. We plan on having an outdoor amphitheater on grounds for guest entertainment.  By the way, I have been a musician, and in sound and lighting most all my life. We plan to feature local talent making this a unique experience for everyone.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 which the bulk of the money will go towards the land and improvements. Land is very expensive in the Smoky Mountains. Plans are to get the grounds ready during the winter months so as to be ready in the spring of 2021 to open to the public. We actually have two properties we are looking at presently, both are just a little under 50 acres and have streams and waterfalls as well as the beautiful Smoky Mountains as a backdrop. Both properties are located near Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg. We are hoping to secure one of the properties as soon as possible.

We want to be able to give your family the ultimate experience in the Great Smoky Mountains. We hope that you will help us make this happen! We would love for you to join our Facebook page for Glamping in the Smoky Mountains.  Please like our page and follow us as we grow and make this all come to fruition. It will mean the world to us to make this happen and with your help we know it will.
